The Minnesota Land O Lakes chapter has a rich history dating back to its inception in 1964. The Chapter is currently headed by Nikki Krakow as President, Tip Tipton as Vice President of Operations, Gary Jones as Vice President of Programs, Andy Smith as Vice President of Membership, and John Thompson as Vice President & Treasurer. In addition, we have an active program committee responsible for planning the chapter meetings. We conduct three chapter meetings each year as well as a summer golf outing. The spring and fall meetings in March and September are half day sessions. The meetings include lunch, a luncheon speaker and 2 to 4 break out sessions focusing on current hot topics, examples of which have included intergenerational management, project management skills, catastrophic reinsurance, SOX implementation, expense allocations, and much more. We have a technical update meeting in November which focuses on accounting and tax technical updates presented by one of the big four accounting firms as well as a statutory annual statement update. CPE is available at each of these chapter meetings. The chapter meetings are generally located in Minneapolis or St. Paul. The summer golf outing, which includes lunch and appetizers, is held in June and is a great time to interact with your fellow IASA chapter members, in addition to the opportunity to win some great prizes. The golf outing is in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. The cost to be a member company is an annual fee of $100. In addition, there is a per person meeting charge, which varies depending on the topics and presenters. The annual golf outing rate is approximately $80 per person. The Land O Lakes chapter is a warm, welcoming group and we invite you to come and join us. |

We require that each member company pay an annual fee. The fees paid by the member companies are used to help subsidize the cost of programs. This year there are 2 methods of payment. You can go online to www,iasa.org (go to IASA Local Chapters and select Land-O-Lakes) and submit a credit card payment of $100 or make a check payable for $110 to “IASA-Land O’ Lakes Chapter” and send it to IASA/LOL Chapter, PO Box 51340, Durham, NC 27717. The annual fee is due by Friday, October 8, 2010.
