The territory of the South Florida Chapter encompasses the tri-county area of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

Since 2003, the IASA South Florida Chapter has been holding semi-annual programs during the months of May and November. These programs provide participants with the opportunity to benefit from continuing professional education sessions, networking with other professionals, and familiarizing themselves with the products and services of vendors who have a special interest in the insurance industry.
_____________________________________________________________________________
The semi-annual programs are held at various venues in the South Florida area; attendance is generally between 60 and 70 participants. The programs typically consist of six hours of CPE conducted by experts in the industry, ample time to visit vendor exhibits and booths, a continental breakfast, a delicious lunch, and opportunities to meet and network with other local accounting and systems professionals.
_____________________________________________________________________________
CPE presentations at previous programs have included, but not have not been limited to, speakers from the State of Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, various CPA firms, university professors, attorneys, and bankers, and have included topics such as NAIC updates, regulatory concerns, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance, claims fraud prevention, reinsurance issues, identity theft, and data privacy to name just a few.

It is not necessary to be a member of IASA International or the South Florida Chapter to attend the Chapter's semi-annual programs. However, becoming a member company of the Chapter will allow your company voting rights in officer and other elections.
