The Texas Chapter has a rich history dating back to its inception year of 1952. With no separate Chapter dues, a member in good standing with the international organization is automatically a regular or associate member of the Texas Chapter. We invite and encourage guest companies or individuals to attend Texas Chapter meetings at the rate of a regular member. By doing so, guests will see the value of this membership organization and consider joining the international IASA for its many benefits, services and opportunities.
The Texas Chapter conducts two conferences per year – one in July and one in November. The summer conference is generally held on Thursday and Friday in the latter part of July. One can expect the venue to be a nice Texas resort in or around the Austin or San Antonio area. Golfers can enjoy a Thursday morning scramble golf tournament. The conference commences Thursday afternoon followed by an evening reception and banquet dinner. After a light continental breakfast on Friday morning, education sessions wrap up on Friday at noon. The fall conference is generally held on Friday prior to the November Thanksgiving holiday at the Las Colinas Country Club, Irving, Texas. It’s a full day of educational opportunities plus a light continental breakfast and buffet lunch. Both events offer up to 8 hours of CPE credits and dress is business casual. The Texas Chapter appreciates exhibitor or member sponsorships at both events to help subsidize costs and to keep registration fees as low as possible. All conference fees are detailed in the registration mail-out packet. There’s no better way to spend your time at one or both of the Texas Chapter conferences! Once you do, you will want to come back!
