Kurt is responsible for managing the cybersecurity and information assurance practice at Cherry Bekaert and as a practicing consultant, spends time evaluating and designing cybersecurity and compliance programs for organizations, ranging from early-stage startups to publicly held companies. He is adept at identifying and implementing solutions for companies during their cybersecurity and compliance journey.
Kurt has over 30 years of professional experience in cybersecurity and compliance consulting, serving as a trusted advisor in helping organizations achieve compliance with CMMC, FedRAMP, PCI-DSS, HiTRUST, HIPAA, SOC, and many others. Kurt performed this work while at PwC, but also at Grant Thornton, and as CIO at a publicly traded data center company where he had direct oversight of IT Operations, Cybersecurity, Compliance, and Internal Audit.
