What was the first IASA Chapter event you attended and what inspired you to go?
My first year at Mercury in 2008, which has been a great sponsor to our regional events, the company sends a dozen folks each year.

What is the biggest benefit of having access to insurance education locally to you and your company?
Networking with peers and learning about the business beyond just our company to leverage new ideas and anticipate challenges..
If money was no object....what would you love to do for a living
Do you have any hobbies that could affect your personal insurance premiums?
Do you volunteer for any other organization other than IASA? If so, which organization and why?
Many, coaching baseball/softball, Scouts, and Board Trustee for Finlandia University.
Besides family and friends, what 3 things could you NOT live without?
Purpose, peace and the world's beauty.
How did you first get started in the insurance industry?
Investment accountant with Fremont General twenty-five years ago.
What would you say to a colleague, or even a peer at another company, who has never attended as IASA Chapter event about getting involved?
I would say networking with industry peers can provide comradery and potential career benefits.
What is your current job and what aspect of your position do you find most rewarding?
Investment manager… it’s always exciting
So after a tough day...is your release a good work out, a certain food, or something over ice?
Most likely all three!
