Each month, the IASA Industry Pulse takes a quick read on issues important to the industry.
POLL RESULTS NOW AVAILABLE
The February 2015 IASA Industry Pulse poll was the final in a new three-part series on Employee Benefits and focused on “Work/Life Balance”. Each month we will build on what we learned from the prior month’s poll to give members an in-depth view and the ability to ask questions on how employee benefits are being handled membership wide.
This poll asked about job/work hour flexibility, commute time, PTO and after hour work requirements.
• 81% of respondents indicated that their travel time to work (roundtrip) is less than 1 hour. .
• 79% responded that they are able to work at home occasionally or frequently and 65% of participants responded that their employers provide flexible hours in which to better manage their schedules.
• 75% of respondents indicated that their company offers between 10 and 20 PTO (personal + vacation + sick) for 1-4 years of service which provides an idea of the overall paid personal time provided to newer employees.
• 62% of respondents said that they were not required to be reachable (cell phone or email) after work hours.

This month's poll is a stand-alone poll and focuses on "System Security". This poll asks your company’s information security policy, access by vendors to your system, methods of transporting/accessing data offsite, password requirements and processes for securing original documents. Results will be shared with our members on the Industry Pulse page of the IASA web site next month.
