As a Partner and Cherry Bekaert's Risk Advisory practice leader, Scott has over 30 years of experience as CFO of finance organizations, Audit Executive in internal audit departments, and Partner at management consulting firms. In addition to his role as national practice leader, Scott serves as the Advisory Financial Services leader and client service partner delivering Internal Audit, SOX, ERM and other Risk Advisory services in highly regulated industries including Financial Institutions, Insurance and Health Care.
Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Scott worked at one of the world’s leading independent audit & assurance, tax and advisory firms, where he served as a national Internal Audit practice leader. He also served as Engagement Partner for internal audit and consulting clients in Financial Services, Health Care, and clients in other highly regulated industries. Before this role, Scott served as the Managing Director on ERM, GRC technology, Internal Audit and SOC engagements at a Big Four firm.
