About
Michael Richmond is a Partner in the firm's Risk and Compliance Services (RCS) Group. Michael is an accomplished IT professional with nearly 30 years of experience providing both government agencies and varied private sector companies with cybersecurity consulting, digital forensics, IT managed services and advanced IT design and implementation services.

Michael has deep expertise in managing large-scale IT projects and implementing cybersecurity frameworks. He has extensive experience in vulnerability and penetration testing, breach response and remediation, digital forensics, and expert witness testimony for litigation support. He also excels in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and advanced network design and implementation. His broad knowledge includes IT systems auditing for legislative and compliance requirements, including leading the firm’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Consulting Services.

Michael is also a technical subject matter expert for transactions related to National Security under the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (“CFIUS”), Team Telecom, and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (“DCSA”). Michael provides deep technical knowledge to support readiness, third-party monitoring, and third-party audit CFIUS engagements spanning various industries that have critical infrastructure, critical technology, and sensitive data.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a Director at Postlethwaite & Netterville (P&N), a leading full-service accounting and business advisory firm. In this role, he led the technology and cybersecurity consulting services for the firm, creating strategic and innovative cybersecurity and IT operational solutions for their clients.
