Bridget Maehr
Director AM Best in the life/health ratings division. Part of analytical teams evaluating the financial strength and creditworthiness of health insurance, employee benefits and Caribbean insurance companies. Portfolio of companies includes, both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, some of the largest US health companies, Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans as well as Caribbean insurers.

Over 30 years of healthcare finance industry experience. Prior to joining AM Best in 2005, Bridget worked at a local health insurer and at one of the first multiple hospital systems in NJ. Obtained a BS in Economics from Rutgers University and an MBA from Dowling College. Holds Charter Healthcare Consultant (ChHC) and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC) professional designations. Member of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals.
