Mission Statement 
The mission of the IASA Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Committee is to cultivate and foster a culture of awareness that promotes diversity and inclusion within the insurance industry and the IASA’s leadership and membership. This includes the goals of accepting, respecting and valuing differences of individuals of diverse race, color, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, religion, nationality, age, and ability.

IASA is committed to cultivating and fostering a culture of awareness that promotes diversity and inclusion within the insurance industry and the IASA’s leadership and membership.
During the month of June, IASA will recognize LGBTQIA+ insurance professionals as vital members of our professional community and will feature special content and educational programming in recognition of Pride Month 2021. Happy Pride!

Diversity Month | April 2021

IASA’S Diversity & Inclusion Committee is excited to celebrate Diversity Month during the month of April. Established in 2004, this recognition month is a time to acknowledge and explore all of the dimensions of diversity that make us who we are! Diversity is more than race, gender, age, sexual orientation, or ethnicity. It also includes our culture, skills, perspectives, traditions, and life experiences, to name but a few.

Celebrating diversity encourages cultural awareness, and most importantly, creates spaces of inclusion and fosters belonging. In these spaces, people feel valued and safe to show up as their authentic selves.  We have compiled a list of resources to help our members join in on the celebration throughout the month and beyond!
